The mission of Sandhills Apologetics Society (SAS) is to engage both heart and mind by presenting and exploring evidence that the Bible is true and equipping believers with a rational defense of the Christian faith.

SAS is completely self-funded. Our ability to present events with high-quality speakers is dependent on your tax-deductible donations.

We are very excited that Dr. Frank Turek will return to Pinehurst for one of his excellent presentations, "If God, Why Evil" on July 27th.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Douglas Axe will conduct an Apologetics Presentation in Pinehurst on October 11th on the subject “Undeniable–Life is Designed!” Dr. Axe, a molecular biologist, is the Director of the Biologic Institute—affiliated with the Discovery Institute.

The Q. and A. session, usually lasting about 20 minutes, stretched to 50 minutes as Dr. Turek capably fielded questions.

Apologetics may be simply defined as the defense of the Christian faith. The word “apologetics” derives from the Greek word apologia, which was originally used as a speech of defense or an answer given in reply. In ancient Athens it referred to a defense made in the courtroom as part of the normal judicial procedure. After the accusation, the defendant was allowed to refute the charges with a defense or reply (apologia). The word appears 17 times in noun or verb form in the New Testament, and both the noun (apologia) and verb form (apologeomai) can be translated “defense” or “vindication” in every case

The Sandhills Apologetics Society (SAS) is a self-funded community ministry of Trinity Christian Fellowship Church with the sole purpose of sponsoring and promoting Christian apologetics lectures and seminars in the Sandhills. All donations to SAS are used exclusively for this purpose and are tax exempt. One hundred percent of your donation is used to fund apologetics community events.
Payments by check should be made payable to "Trinity Christian Fellowship", marked "for SAS" and sent to, 425 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
